Giving Back Is Central To Who We Are

Advance Financial is blessed by the communities it serves, and we feel an obligation to give back to our neighbors. We also understand that many people today want to blend their personal and work lives, which means making time to do things they are passionate about while at work. We want to make it easy for our employees to personally be part of our company’s commitment to helping make the world a little better place than how we found it. Here’s a few examples of how we do that:

40 Hours of Volunteer Paid Time Off

We believe in going above and beyond writing a check to support the communities we serve; we believe in rolling up our sleeves and working alongside the non-profits we support. That’s why every Advance Financial staff member is given 40 hours of paid time off a year to volunteer at any organization of their choice. Our hope is that by offering employees this time to volunteer they feel valued for their contributions at work and in the community, learn how to build successful partnerships with the local community and pursue their individual passions.

Grand Opening Donations

We have more than 100 locations across Tennessee. Each time we open a new store, we make a donation to a local non-profit organization as a way to introduce ourselves to the community. Recently, we have had the opportunity to donate to the Boys & Girls Club of Jackson, Boys & Girls Club of Covington, DeKalb County 4-H Club and the Rhea County Heritage and Scopes Trial Museum.

Annual Day of Service

We initiated the first annual companywide Day of Service this past May, a day on which our employees were encouraged to volunteer instead of work. In coordination with Hands on Nashville, employees volunteered across several cities in Tennessee with organizations including Second Harvest of Tennessee, YWCA of Knoxville, Special Olympics, Nashville Food Project and Nashville Public Library. As a company, we volunteered 3,741 hours in 2017.

Our company was founded on the principles of community, kindness and employee engagement. As we continue to grow, expand, invest and flourish in communities where we live and work, we hope to attract future team members who share our passion for giving back.
